Would you take this hospital CNA role at the posted pay range and schedule? Why or why not?
I’d consider it, but I’d ask what the day‑shift CNA ratio is and how many weekends/holidays you work per 6‑week schedule; that makes or breaks it. At my last SEIU hospital in SoCal, days on med‑surg ran 8-10 patients per CNA, and having ceiling lifts and a float mobility tech was the difference between a brutal shift and a decent one.
Looks workable for a union day shift, but I’d want the day CNA ratio on med‑surg, how often you float (tele/ED), and if weekends are every other with real holiday double‑time; $24–28 in Long Beach is meh unless differentials and protected breaks are solid — any locals know?
