Why do we stress over resumes

I just noticed how much pressure people feel about crafting the ‘perfect’ resume. I spent hours on mine last week, only to realize it didn’t even land me an interview. What do you all think? Is all that effort worth it, or should we be focusing on networking more?

Resumes can feel like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Instead of pouring all that time into perfection, maybe consider spending some of it on networking. As they say, it’s not just what you know, but who you know.
