Tips for faster patient rounds

I’ve been trying to shave time off my patient rounds lately and found that grouping tasks together really helps. For instance, if I know I need to check vitals on three patients in the same wing, I get them all done in one go. Has anyone else found hacks for speeding things up, especially with time constraints during shifts?

Grouping tasks really does make a difference! I also try to knock out the paperwork between patient visits, so I can focus entirely on care during rounds. Ever thought about using a timer to see if you can beat your own record each shift?

I totally get the struggle to speed things up during rounds — , it drives me nuts too! I’ve started timing how long each task takes, so I know where I can cut corners without sacrificing patient care. Have you tried using an app to track your time during rounds?
