Integrating Technology into CNA Training

I’ve been exploring ways to incorporate more educational technology into our CNA curriculum, particularly with simulation tools that offer real-time feedback. For instance, I’ve found that using virtual simulations not only enhances engagement but also helps students retain crucial skills better. Has anyone else had success using tech in their training programs — i’d love to hear about your experiences?

I’ve definitely seen how tech can transform CNA training. We recently integrated a virtual simulation program that ran about $1,500, and it really amped up student engagement. The real-time feedback is a game changer, but I wonder if you’ve faced any issues with tech access for all students?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve used interactive quizzes alongside simulations for immediate feedback — students love it! Have you tried combining both?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

But i totally agree that tech can spice up CNA training! We started using a virtual debriefing tool, and it’s like giving students a personal trainer — they get tailored feedback instantly. Just a heads-up, though: make sure to balance it with hands-on practice, too. @jgreen57, how do you tackle that balance in your program?
