Has anyone come across effective strategies for handling difficult patients? I’ve been working on some techniques, especially around communication, but I’d love to hear what others are doing. Who else has seen success in this area?
One technique I’ve found helpful is using open-ended questions to encourage difficult patients to express their feelings. It can really shift the dynamic, especially when dealing with those emotions bubbling up. Have you tried anything like that in your practice?
It’s so true that communication can make a huge difference! I’d suggest really focusing on active listening; sometimes just letting a patient feel heard can de-escalate a tough situation. How do you usually approach conversations when things get tense?
