Engaging Techniques for CNA Training

I’ve been looking into innovative teaching methods for our CNA curriculum, especially interactive simulations. I recently experimented with role-playing scenarios that mimic real-life situations, and the feedback from students has been incredibly positive. I’m curious if anyone else has tried unique approaches to enhance engagement in their training sessions?

Role-playing is a great way to make the training more relatable! I’ve found using video feedback can also be really effective — seeing themselves in action helps students learn a lot. Have you thought about incorporating some feedback sessions after the role plays?

And have you ever incorporated debriefing sessions right after the role-playing? That’s been a game changer for my students in terms of reflection and deeper understanding. They really appreciate the chance to discuss what went well and what didn’t. It’s amazing how much insight they gain from just a little discussion time afterwards.

I’ve used case studies that involve real-world scenarios, letting students discuss and solve the problems together. It really sparks discussion around critical thinking and teamwork. Have you thought about adding more group discussions to your training?
